Living in True Forgiveness From The Heart

forgiveness-is-a-gift-to-your-heart One of the most difficult topics to address is forgiveness because we all have encountered situations where people have wronged us. Often, it is hard to forgive those individuals for the emotional pain and hurt we endured as a result of their words or actions. When building a closer relationship with God we learn and understand the importance of true forgiveness from the heart. Think about it this way as human beings who sin God forgives us all the time, so it is imperative that we learn to forgive others. The Bible states, “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” Matthew 6:14-15 NIV

Learning to live according to God’s word in the Bible is key to start the process of forgiveness from the heart. Whether you are a believer of Jesus Christ or not a believer at all forgiving others is essential to moving forward in life and to heal emotionally. It is known that when you hold unforgiveness against another person you will stagnant your own blessings. Sometimes prayers will go unanswered because of having anger, bitterness, resentment and unforgiveness in your heart. Releasing those thoughts and feelings from your mind will help you to start to walk in your journey of true forgiveness.

Walking and living in true forgiveness is where you can see those who have inflicted hurt and pain on you and not have any feelings of anger towards them. It does not bother you to come in contact with these individuals and even speak to them. God wants us to love our enemies even when they have done us wrong because He loves us when we have fallen short because of sin in our lives. “Buy God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 NIV

We must have love in our hearts in order to demonstrate true forgiveness from the heart. When love lives in the heart then forgiveness can take place where a person can be truly be released from their emotional pain from the past. Always live and walk in love so you are easily able to extend forgiveness to people. Life will be more peaceful because you have decided to walk in the love of Christ showing love towards people and living in true forgiveness from the heart.

Be Patient And Wait On God

In life sometimes being impatient robs us of our joy, happiness, inner peace, and even may cause us to lose sleep worrying about the things we desire to have right now. We try to figure out why things are not happening fast enough in our lives. However, we often come to the conclusion it is not in our time but in God’s time. It is important to be patient and wait on God for his perfect timing and things will come together in the right season. “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

God wants us to wait on him in his time and season for our blessings to manifest and take place. It is not for us to make things happen when we want them but to apply patience and prayer to give us peace during our waiting period. Another thing is to evaluate why things are being delayed and not happening in certain seasons. Blessings can delayed because of bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness to name a few things. Go into prayer and ask God to show you what needs to be changed within you personally. God will give us strength to endure the wait while continuing to praise him for all our other blessings in life.

“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.” Psalm 27:13-14
Many people in the Bible had to endure a wait before their blessings happened in God’s appointed time. For example, Sarah had a baby in her old age when people thought she would not be able to get pregnant. “Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him.” (Genesis 21:2)
We must cry out before God and pray fervently when it seems our blessings are being delayed. Go into prayer and fasting, apply our faith while continuing to trust God through it all. Hannah continued to rejoice even in her wait on the Lord and prayed to him with confidence.
Then Hannah prayed and said: “My heart rejoices in the LORD; in the LORD my horn is lifted high. My mouth boasts over my enemies, for I delight in your deliverance”
(1 Samuel 2:1).
Sarah and Hannah faced having to persevere by not giving up during their waiting period. They remained faithful and prayed to God even though they had to wait a long time for their breakthroughs to be blessed with a child. We have to wait with confidence and endure with patience knowing that God will answer our prayers in his perfect timing and in the right season.
God Bless You.

Ask God For Strength Even In The Most Difficult Times In Life

Ask God for strength even when life doesn’t seem fair. In the most difficult times seek God in prayer to bring you through your deepest storm.  Sometimes we are overwhelmed by present situations that are not in our control. God is in control of everything pertaining to our lives. In those very moments, we have to be still and leave it all to our Heavenly Father. In Psalm 46:10, it says ” “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

We have to make a conscious decision to leave our fears and worries in God’s hands not allowing doubt to enter our minds. In your prayer time talk to God and tell him all of your troubles trusting that he will take care of all things concerning you. The Lord hears us when we cry out to him while he turn things around in a great way. “The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.” Psalm 34:17

God will give you strength through the lost of a loved one, financial struggles, health problems,  marital issues or whatever the circumstances you are experiencing in your life. Spending time in his presence daily will provide us with the strength we need to survive and eventually tell our testimony in the right season.  Hope and strength comes along with fervent prayers and by our faith he will supply all our needs.

“But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

So remember it is not easy during the most difficult times but it is important to stay in prayer asking God to give you strength.

Forgiveness From The Heart Is Key To Heal Emotionally And Grow Spiritually In God’s Word

Forgiveness, what does that word mean to you? It is a word that creates a challenge for so many people, but one thing I do know is we must forgive others. It is certain situations that will cause us to build up anger, bitterness, hatred, resentment, and unforgiveness. When faced with emotional pain and hurt, it is important to pray to ask God for strength to overcome it and learn to have true forgiveness in our hearts. You have to let go of all those things in the past that have held you captive creating unforgiveness. The Bible states, “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” Matthew 6:14-15

In this time a closer relationship with God and spiritual growth will help you move toward learning how to forgive and release the emotional pain and hurt. It is challenging and difficult on so many levels because your mind will always want to live out the past refusing to forgive those who hurt you. We have all sinned, asked God for forgiveness, and not only did he forgive us he does not remember it anymore. Forgiveness is mandatory in the eyes of God, in order to make it into heaven.  We have to first repent to our Heavenly Father, and then ask forgiveness leading us to be forgiven. Now to address the word forgiveness is one thing, however to live out forgiveness is completely different in so many ways. Forgiving others is being able to face someone who wronged you while letting go of what they did in the past. You are able to speak to them without having any type of anger in your heart. If this is what you are doing through your actions then you have learn true forgiveness. It is a process of learning true forgiveness, which is part of the healing process from the emotional pain and hurt you have experienced from the past.  According to 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”  This scripture emphasizes that it is imperative to confess our own sins to be forgiven from God and to be purified from all unrighteousness in our lives. Prayer will help in your process of learning true forgiveness to start on the path of emotional healing. During your prayer time, talk to God asking him for guidance and strength when feeling challenged by the thought of forgiving someone that hurt you so badly. God will not only give you strength, but he will bless you with the courage and boldness to stand firm in their presence. People can say out of their mouth they have forgiven another the person who hurt them; the test is when you are face to face with that individual. In my book, Growth: My Journey of Spiritual Growth To Emotional Healing And Forgiveness” I discuss my personal experience dealing with individuals in the church who had hurt me in the past. For a long time I harbored anger, bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness. Eventually, in 2012 I began to have a closer relationship with God and to grow spiritually in his word on my journey to emotional healing and learning true forgiveness. Releasing all those feelings built up inside and walking in forgiveness to others is what led to my breakthrough. As long as I held onto unforgiveness, nothing was happening while my blessings seemed to be delayed. If you are praying for something and you noticed nothing is happening evaluate yourself. Are you forgiving others when they have hurt you? Do you hold on to all the baggage of the past? Some of you may figure out why your breakthrough is not happening and the reason you are experiencing stagnation and delays. Unforgiveness is one word that you do not want to have in your life because it keeps you in one place not moving forward to a prosperous and successful future. God has great plans and a bright promising future for us. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

God wants us to be set free and delivered from the things of our past. Most people fail to realize they are holding back their blessings simply because they choose not to forgive. Life is too short to keep holding onto all that baggage with unforgiveness in your heart because it is a complete waste of your time. Talk to God to strengthen you to be able to release the past and help you walk in forgiveness from the heart. Forgiveness also opens major doors pertaining to all areas of your life. It is the key to unlock the door to God’s divine purpose and plans for a glorious future. When starting the process of forgiveness do not look right or left at what is going on around you only focus on the goodness of God.  People will always be human and they will make mistakes so the only thing you need to be concerned with is doing God’s will and what is pleasing him. Make sure to forgive yourself of things you did in the past as well. It is part of the steps to take in walking in true forgiveness. Stop sitting in your room dwelling on the past when God is bigger than your problems. He is the one and only living Powerful God so he can remove things causing you sleepless nights. In those quiet times go into prayer about the situation you are facing in your life, marriage, family, household, workplace and school. Trusting God and fervent prayers will help you move towards living and walking in forgiveness. This will bring you to a place of complete wholeness and emotional healing. Ask God to lead, direct and guide your path when it feels like a heavy burden of forgiving those who hurt you comes across your mind. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”  Proverbs 3:5-6

Forgiveness applies to everyone on this earth no one is exempt from it. If you want the flow of blessings in your life forgiveness is necessary.  To experience a positive life it is essential to have forgiveness in your heart. It is not good to say you have forgiven someone but have not forgiven them truly from the heart where it matters the most.

Take a moment to pray to God repenting of all of your sins and ask him for forgiveness.

Now say this positive affirmation with me.

I am forgiven by God from all my sins from the past.

I am releasing all negative people and things that may try to hinder God’s plans and purpose for my life.

I am forgiving all family members, friends, colleagues, co-workers, people in the church who have caused me emotional hurt and pain.

I am walking in forgiveness from my heart.

I choose to forgive others who have hurt me emotionally so I will not hold back my own blessings from coming forth in my life.

Thank you God for forgiving me as I will always choose to extend forgiveness to others.

Forgiveness may not be considered an easy task to you, but remember this one thing forgiveness from the heart is key to heal emotionally and grow spiritually in God’s word.

In The Midst Of The Storms Of Life God Will Give You Strength

in-the-midst-of-the-storm

Do you sometimes feel like giving up in the midst of the storms of life? If you have ever felt that way just know that God will give you strength. One of my favorite scriptures to read and meditate on in the most difficult and challenging times in my life is Philippians 4:13, ” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Every time I read that scripture it seems as if God gives me a sense of inner peace in my heart. Always ask God for strength when everything is going wrong. Two scriptures that comes to mind when in need of strength and God’s help in times of trouble is Psalm 34:17 and Psalm 121:1-2.

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.” Psalm 34:17

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord,Who made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2

God will hear you in the midst of your storms if you pray to him, he will surely give you a turnaround and remove that mountain of a problem out of your life. Trust God to take care of everything pertaining to you. He is the one and only living and Powerful God who is the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, The Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End there is no one else like him. ”

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

So, the next time you are facing another storm in life pray to God, he will give you strength. God Bless You.

Growing Spiritually In God’s Word

Growing Spiritually In God’s Word. What does that mean to you? It comes a time that you must grow spiritually making positive changes to live for God. At this time everything about your life as you know it will change to align itself with what is pleasing and acceptable to him. No longer will you be interested in things of this world, but now walking as a new creation not looking back in your past. According to  2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Thank God for changing and making us a new creation in him. It is at that appointed time you will be tested by people who will attempt to take you back to your past. This is the reason you must stay in prayer and in God’s word for strength. In times when you are tested God will lead and guide you on how to respond as a mature Christian and a true believer. No one said it would be easy, but just know as a follower of Jesus Christ it is important to  display a good image as believers from the inside out. We should be a light in this dark world . If you want to bring people to Christ and get souls saved it is imperative that your light must shine for the lost to see it.”In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
